Map - Takaka

Golden Bay is situated on the Northwestern tip of the South Island New Zealand. This is the home of the Te Waikoropupu Fresh Water Springs which is the clearest water in the World.

Golden Bay has beautiful gold sand beaches with crystal clear blue water. There are several bush walks in Golden Bay through beautiful native ferns and bush, some walks for the young some for the older generation.

Golden Bay is the gateway for the Abel Tasman National Park and Kahurangi National Park track walks being the Abel Tasman Park walk and the Heaphy Track. There is also plenty for the kids at Bencarri Farm with all the different animals and tame eels.

Right across the road is Anatoki Salmon where you can catch your own salmon and get it smoked while you wait. You need 2 to 3 days to visit the arts & crafts people of Golden Bay.
